About the Quran on This Site
The Quran is the central religious text of Islam — 114 surahs (chapters) revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ over approximately 23 years, roughly split between Meccan surahs (revealed before his migration to Madinah, generally shorter and focused on core belief) and Medinan surahs (revealed after, generally longer and covering law and community guidance).
We do not alter or translate the Quranic text ourselves. The Arabic text follows the standard Uthmani script. The Urdu translation is Kanz ul Iman by Imam Ahmed Raza Khan, and the English translation is Sahih International — both widely used, named translations, cited so you can verify or cross-reference them independently. Audio recitation is by Mishary Rashid Alafasy and other named reciters.
Many Muslims pursue Hifz — memorizing the Quran in full — a tradition going back to the earliest generation of companions who preserved it by memory alongside its written compilation. If you're working toward that or simply want to read consistently, the memorization tool and reading goal tracker on this site are built for that.
